Retro Sketch Challenge and Rolled Paper Layout

Hello!  Welcome!  I'm sharing both a layout and a card today ... read on and enjoy :)

First I am sharing a fun card that I created based on the following Retro Sketches challenge.

I had a ton of fun with this sketch and made use of some new wooden plane embellishments that I recently bought at ScrapMuch?

You can also see that I cut out a few clouds and pop-dotted them on top of background clouds to create some additional dimension.

I used mini alphas for my message ... and used some Glossy Accents to give them some shine!  I love using this see-through type ribbon on my cards ... I think it worked here with the fluffy cloud theme!

Next, I'm sharing a layout that I created for the Frosted Designs challenge to use rolled paper.

You can see that I used rolled paper to create a grass type effect across the bottom of my layout ... It was a fun challenge to attempt :) ... I'll be honest, it was the first time I ever tried using rolled paper!

I created some clusters with many textures ... this felt cloud, wooden bird, twine stitches and metal green paperclip made for an effective embellishment cluster.

I have been enjoying using mini alphas lately...  a great way to make a longer title that doesn't take up too much room!

Thanks for stopping in!
Be sure to check back in tomorrow!
