Welcome! Today I'm sharing the card that I made for the Made Especially for You Challenge to use ribbon and create a Mother's Day card!
The sponsor for this week's challenge is Meljen's Designs ... and I was excited to use one of their digital stamps to create my card.
For those of you that have been following my blog ... you would realize that this is the second time that I used a digital stamp ... last time the stamp was pre-coloured ... but this one wasn't! Never fear ... if you aren't a Copics marker expert (which I am definitely not) ... then you can just use the Paint program on your computer to colour in a digital stamp. It doesn't have the same shading effect as Copics, but can still make it look pretty good!
I actually printed out 6 different tulips (of slightly varying sizes) and cut out the leaves and petals and popped them up to add dimension.
I then used some yellow ribbon (yellow is my mom's favourite colour!) and created a ribbon cluster for behind my sentiment and put a strip across the bottom to "ground" the card. The sentiment is made using some rub-on letters that I found in my stash.
Thanks for checking in today!
Be sure to hop on over to the Made Especially for You to check out the other designer's beautiful cards!
