Blog Day 5: Pretty Cards

Hello again!  Today I'm sharing a few cards that I created recently.  These cards are made using My Mind's Eye paper from a Paris & Co. 6x6 Designer Paper pad.  I love the muted golds and pale turquoise colours.  This paper pad wasn't super girly ... so I'm counting on using these cards for some of the not so girly people in my life :)

I might have 4 or 5 butterfly punches (ok ... I have 6) ... but I definitely get good use out of them.  I think they always add an elegant addition to a card -- this time I've centred the butterfly with a brass button.

I cut the lacy rosette below from this beautiful ribbon that I was afraid to use because it was so pretty.  I'm enjoying using the Pebbles sentiment rub-ons (the "thank you" below) --- they are quicker/easier than stamping when you just want to add a quick sentiment.  This card feels very "french" and "sophisticated" to me ... but maybe that's because there is literally french text on the paper ... actually in retrospect, I wish I had a "merci" sentiment across the front .... :)

Ahhah!  Another butterfly ... this time layered with a multi brad centre :)

I find that layering punched edges can make a really simple but effective banner across a card ... and I added a slight wooden flourish to add that extra flair!

Thanks for checking in again!
