Let's Get Sketchy posted Challenge #2 ... and I was excited to play along! This is the sketch that was posted ...
My take on the sketch makes use of My Mind's Eye Breaking Free collection. I enjoyed the blues and browns and thought they worked well with my niece's outfit! I love using pearl flourishes ...and thought that this layout just called for one! Also, you'll notice that I substituted a journalling tag (instead of the second photo) ... mostly because my sister Elaine gave me this photo & I didn't have a second one!
I was playing around with various punches, die cuts, buttons and hemp and this is the cluster that resulted ... I used some Glossy Accents to add a bit of sheen to the word "Zoe". (I rarely do a layout that doesn't have a glossy accent somewhere!)
I layered various size stars (from my new star die cut) ... using pop dots for dimension and Glossy Accents to give some shine to the top stars!
I created a chain of stars for the banner across the top corner ... and even though someone once told me that eyelets are "old school", I refuse to believe it and keep using them everywhere!
AND OF COURSE ... I made some cards with my scraps!
Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to stop in again tomorrow!
