MEFY - Sketch Time!

Hello my friends!
Happy Monday

Welcome to this week's Made Especially For You designer reveal!

The challenge this week is sponsored by Meljen's Designs ... and we have been challenged to create a card using the following sketch:

And here is my take on the sketch:

I chose to use some paper strips and some really lovely thin twine to create the "radiating" effect from the sketch.  I also used one of my Spellbinder dies to cut out a shape for the focal point of my card.

Don't forget to head over to the Made Especially For You blog to see the rest of the design team creations and to play along yourself!

Hi!
Today I'm sharing a card created using the Authentique Splendid collection for their very fun colour challenge!
And this is my take on the challenge!!!

I like the brown flower against the brown background ... I think it adds an interesting effect and makes the sentiment and flower "pop"!

A "Home-y" Card :)

Click here for my Back To School blog hop post!

Hello my friends!

Today I'm sharing a card created using the Authentique Splendid collection for their colour challenge below!

And this is my take on the colour challenge ... I love the green/pink/brown combo!!!

As you may know ... I can't do a card without some sort of texture and dimension ... so I added a lovely wooden flourish to add a finishing touch ... and a green suede-like ribbon to add some dimension :)

A Vintage Thank You!

Hello!
Today I'm sharing a Vintage thank you card that I created for a challenge ... but missed the deadline!  (apparently I didn't clue in that 12am on the 9th means that you can't link up on the 9th ...lol)

I've used some lace and vintage chipboard pieces to create the design for this card ... and I added a bright yellow flower to add some colour and fun!

I took advantage of my new epoxy button making Epiphany and created a matching button to go in the centre of my flower :)

The Happy Birthday Tree!

Hello everyone!

Today I am sharing a card made with some ribbon for the Pink Elephant Challenge!

This tree is a sticker ... I love how it looks against the bold blue background!  I used a white rub-on sentiment ... I really can't stress how easy they are to use!

I added some nice green ribbon to enhance the grass and a few brown brads for the extra pizazz!

On Cloud 9 :)

Hi!

Today I'm sharing a card created for a few challenges!
1) the CASual Friday's On Cloud 9 Challenge;
2) the Really Reasonable Ribbon's Ribbon and Bling challenge;
3) the Retro Sketches sketch challenge; and
4) the Love To Create punches and dies challenge!
This is the sketch:
And this is my take on the sketch!

I chose to use a cloud die that I have (plus an embossing folder) ... I also made use of my sewing machine, where I switched from straight to zig zag stich to create a fun effect!
